A compensation payment has been made to Nigel Byrd Edwards; Nigel Michael Edwards; Nigel Micheal Edwards; Nigel Byrd Edward; Rahu Harley Davidson Harris; Dennis William/Junior Mclean in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (“Act”).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Nigel Byrd Edwards; Nigel Michael Edwards; Nigel Micheal Edwards; Nigel Byrd Edward; Rahu Harley Davidson Harris; Dennis William/Junior Mclean to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Nigel Byrd Edwards; Nigel Michael Edwards; Nigel Micheal Edwards; Nigel Byrd Edward; Rahu Harley Davidson Harris; Dennis William/Junior Mclean.

On 31 May 2024, $7,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Nigel Byrd Edwards; Nigel Michael Edwards; Nigel Micheal Edwards; Nigel Byrd Edward; Rahu Harley Davidson Harris; Dennis William/Junior Mclean.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Nigel Byrd Edwards; Nigel Michael Edwards; Nigel Micheal Edwards; Nigel Byrd Edward; Rahu Harley Davidson Harris; Dennis William/Junior Mclean until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Nigel Byrd Edwards; Nigel Michael Edwards; Nigel Micheal Edwards; Nigel Byrd Edward; Rahu Harley Davidson Harris; Dennis William/Junior Mclean, in respect of an offence for which Nigel Byrd Edwards; Nigel Michael Edwards; Nigel Micheal Edwards; Nigel Byrd Edward; Rahu Harley Davidson Harris; Dennis William/Junior Mclean was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Nigel Byrd Edwards; Nigel Michael Edwards; Nigel Micheal Edwards; Nigel Byrd Edward; Rahu Harley Davidson Harris; Dennis William/Junior Mclean.

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
