Appointment of Place and Hours of Plant Variety Rights Office Pursuant to section 28 of the Plant Variety Rights Act 1987, I hereby appoint the place of the Plant Variety Rights Office to be at the Canterbury Agriculture and Science Centre, Gerald Street, Lincoln, Canterbury and fix the hours during which the office shall be open for the transaction of public business under the Plant Variety Rights Act 1987, as being from Monday to Friday, inclusive during the hours between 8.30 a.m. to noon and 12.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. other than any day which is a public holiday in terms of section 7a (2) of the Holidays Act 1981, or any day during the period in every year from 27 December to 31 December inclusive. The notice dated 6 August 1979, and which was published in the New Zealand Gazette on 6 September 1979, given by the Minister of Agriculture under the Plant Varieties Act 1973, which appointed the place and hours of business of the Plant Varieties Office is hereby revoked. This notice also revokes the previous notice, given by the Minister of Agriculture under the Plant Varieties Act 1973, which appointed the place and hours of business of the Plant Varieties Office. Section 39 (1) of the Plant Variety Rights Act 1987, despite the repeal of the Plant Varieties Act 1973, deemed the place appointed by that notice to be the place of the Plant Variety Rights Office.
