This instrument, which comes into force on 16 January 2020, amends the Employment and Work Readiness Assistance Programme (made on 6 March 2014 and saved by clause 21 of Schedule 1 of the Social Security Act 2018). The amendment restricts funding for course costs for longer education or training courses under the programme to courses which are Level 3 and below on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework.
The instrument is a disallowable instrument for the purposes of the Legislation Act 2012 and is administered by the Ministry of Social Development.
