In the notice titled COOK ISLAND (NZ) SOCIETY ROTORUA BRANCH INCORPORATED published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 December 2021, Notice No. 2021-is5204, the Registrar of Incorporated Societies advised of the application by the ROTORUA COOK ISLANDS SOCIETY INCORPORATED (Incorporated Society Number: 1866296) for directions for the surplus assets of the dissolved society, COOK ISLAND (NZ) SOCIETY ROTORUA BRANCH INCORPORATED (Incorporated Society Number: 212317) (“society”) to vest in the ROTORUA COOK ISLANDS SOCIETY INCORPORATED (Incorporated Society Number: 1866296). ROTORUA COOK ISLANDS SOCIETY INCORPORATED (Incorporated Society Number: 1866296) was incorrectly defined as “society” in the 3 December 2021 notice and a correct version of the notice is published below.

Notice of Direction for the Disposition of the Surplus Assets of a Dissolved Incorporated Society

Pursuant to Section 27 of the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 (“Act”)

Take notice that the Registrar of Incorporated Societies (“Registrar”) has, following the application of ROTORUA COOK ISLANDS SOCIETY INCORPORATED (Incorporated Society Number: 1866296) under section 27(3) of the Act for surplus assets of the society which was dissolved by the Registrar 17 June 2004, directs that:

1. being an estate in fee simple in all the land containing 1.0426 hectares more or less being the property situated at 101A Clayton Road, Mangakakahi, Rotorua, comprised in record of title SA15A/120 with COOK ISLAND (NZ) SOCIETY ROTORUA BRANCH INCORPORATED recorded on the Certificate of Title as the registered owner; and
2. all funds in a Westpac bank account in the name of Cook Island Society account number: 03-1552-0129608-00.

be vested in ROTORUA COOK ISLANDS SOCIETY INCORPORATED (Incorporated Society Number: 1866296).

These directions shall become final on 6 January 2022. No appeal shall lie unless notice thereof is delivered before that date.
