Gazette.govt.nzPursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemption from the Maritime Rules dated 19 February 2021, in relation to seafarers who hold or are applying for a certificate of competency or certificate of proficiency or endorsement issued under Part 32 of the Maritime Rules and corresponding to an STCW certificate, or a certificate of recognition of an STCW certificate issued under section 41 of the Maritime Transport Act.
